Danielle Harold takes the most bets to Win I’m A Celebrity…
33-year-old Harold has been receiving support to win from I’m A Celebrity bettors and bookmakers alike since the popular ITV show got underway at the weekend. While its ratings may be slipping slightly thanks to a barrage of Farage, Nigel hasn’t dampened fans enjoying the former EastEnders regular Danielle on the jungle show.
Oddschecker’s Leon Blackman:
“Danielle Harold has garnered the attention of both bookmakers and bettors.
“Initially considered an outsider at 8/1, Harold is now the favourite to win the show at 3/1, according to bookies after Sunday’s opener. Despite it being early days, this significant shift in odds is noteworthy, especially since many of the other contestants have maintained their pre-Sunday prices.”
After the show finished its first outing on Sunday, bookmakers cut the actress’s odds to win the competition from 8/1 to the 3/1 favourite. One-fifth (21.2%) of all bets placed through Oddschecker over the 12 hours after the first edition aired had been on Harold to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Sam Thompson and Josie Gibson are also receiving early support in the betting markets, taking 15.4% and 14.1% of total bets respectively. I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9 pm on ITV1 and STV.
