Scarlett finds herself dealt a blow in River City

This week in Shieldinch…

MONDAY

Emotions run high as Callum is taken into secure care, away from the O’Hara family. Whilst Lenny does his best to reassure his grandson, Scarlett begins to crumble believing everyone blames her.

Convinced someone has falsified claims against Callum, Lenny tasks Mulvaney to find out who is responsible. It doesn’t take Mulvaney long to realise Andrew and Victoria are in cahoots with the mother of the schoolboy who made allegations against Callum and suspects foul play. Armed with this information, Mulvaney goes to Lenny and Lydia. Knowing there’s no use going to the authorities, Lenny outsources his revenge plans to Tyler Foulkes.

Elsewhere, Bob is stunned when Madonna blames Scarlett for Callum’s situation. Full of fury at her mother, Madonna vents to Dean but his support is rejected. Chloe proves to be an unwitting confidante, validating how Madonna feels. Chloe makes her realise she shouldn’t reject her family – they need each other more than ever.

In the wake of her brother’s latest affair, Amber suggests Alex seeks professional help highlighting the fact he has a pattern of sabotaging relationships. Alex decides to seek treatment for sex addiction and, in doing so, win Karen back. Whilst Amber thinks this is ridiculous, Alex is adamant and turns to Roisin for her guidance.

WEDNESDAY

With Tyler’s planned hit on Andrew in play, Lenny sets the wheels in motion to create an alibi for the O’Hara’s and Murdoch’s. As the families meet at the Two Jailbirds for a dinner to discuss Callum’s future, Andrew suspects all is not as it seems.

Feigning a migraine, Andrew persuades Scarlett to choose him over her family – again. The couple arrive back at their flat, oblivious there’s an attacker lying in wait. Unfortunately, Scarlett finds herself caught in the crossfire when she’s dealt a sickening blow to the head – intended for Andrew.

As Lenny awaits word from Tyler, a sense of unease grows and he’s horrified to hear it’s gone awry.

Elsewhere, Victoria is disgusted to learn Andrew fled the scene and left Scarlett for dead. When the siblings return to the flat they find Scarlett barely alive.

Fearing she’s the focus of local gossip, Karen confronts Caitlin and Armand. Karen decides to give them something to talk about, revealing she punched Nicole. They assure Karen they’re on her side and invite her to join them for a drink.
