Farage’s odds have been slashed from 40/1 to 6/1 to win ITV’s 2023 series of I’m A Celebrity.
The former UKIP leader has seen a surge of bets to win the competition since the betting market opened on Friday last week following a tabloid newspaper leaking the names before ITV’s official announcement earlier today.
Bookmakers had originally not given Farage much of a chance to win I’m A Celebrity, with odds of 40/1 implying a mere 2.4%.
Nonetheless, money has been pouring in for the former politician and bookmakers have reacted by cutting the odds to as low as 6/1 this morning.
These revised odds, reported by Oddschecker, make Farage the fifth-favourite in the betting to win the competition, behind the likes of Josie Gibson (3/1), Sam Thompson (5/1), Fred Sirieix (5/1), and Frankie Dettori (5/1).
Oddschecker’s Leon Blackman:
“Since the I’m A Celebrity betting market opened last week, one contestant’s odds have taken a significant shift. Opening at 40/1, the money has been pouring in for Nigel Farage to win the competition and bookmakers have adjusted them accordingly to 6/1. Out of all the activity on this market, Farage is the most popular bet taking 28.3% of the share. With the show starting on Sunday, it will be interesting to see what odds he will be when the series kicks off.
