Today in Summer Bay…
Justin counsels Eden and Remi – if they release their song about Kirby’s betrayal, it will do irreversible damage to their friendship. Later, Eden confides in Remi that she’s doubting their decision to perform the song publicly, and it’s clear that she hopes things with Kirby might get back on track. Soon Remi is having second thoughts as well, and the pair agree they can’t do that to Kirby. They’ll work on new material, and the song they’ve written about Kirby can just be the song they needed to write before they move on.
Forrest and Kirby are preparing for the launch of her solo career, and Forrest questions Kirby’s intention of inviting her former bandmates. However, Kirby is clear on what she wants – Lyrik helped make her who she is, and she’s going to honour that. Even if they don’t want to come, they’re invited. When she arrives at Remi and Eden’s to deliver their invitation, she finds the lyrics to their newly abandoned song and is devastated. Is this really what they think of her now?
Roo is making bounds in her recovery and is excited to go home, but her mood notably sours when Marilyn turns up for a visit. She was clear that Marilyn is not welcome. Marilyn ends up leaving in tears and Alf is beside himself. What has Roo said to her this time? But Roo is equally distraught. She doesn’t need Marilyn around to remind her why she’s stuck in the hospital. Hearing Alf cancel his plans to be with Martha in Merimbula, Roo decides to call Marilyn back to the hospital. She apologises, extending an olive branch to Marilyn who wholeheartedly accepts – ‘Let’s never fight again’.
Later though, Roo reveals to Leah that she faked the reconciliation for Alf’s sake – she will never be able to forgive Marilyn.
