OTD 1973: Hunt House Colliery

ATV’s Bob Warman reported on the auction of Hunt House Colliery at Clows Top in Worcestershire, which was thought to be the last privately owned deep coal mine in the country. The footage shows the building having seen better days and is now in disrepair.

Bob Warman talks about the site which was owned by Philip Mole. Bob speaks with Wilfred Blood who worked at the mine every day for seventeen years as foreman and fitter and never had a day off – not even at weekends or Christmas Day.
