This week in Letherbridge…
MONDAY
Sid’s dad TYE turns up unexpectedly for a visit. Sid’s happy to see him, but something about Tye isn’t quite right. Sid quizzes him, but Tye assures him nothing is going on. Scarlett is excited to see Suni, but walks in to see him flirting with a Nurse. She thinks she’s been a fool, so when Suni comes to talk to her, she’s short. Isolated at home and refusing to leave the house after his attack, Al is struggling with nightmares & has no motivation to look after himself, or even answer the door. He ignores all calls and visitors, preferring instead to play games all day so he doesn’t have to face reality.
Tina Henson takes son Max to see Suni as she is worried about his anxiety. His GCSE’s are approaching and she’s worried they will be affected. Suni sees that Tina dominates the conversation, so speaks to Max alone, who reveals that he has anxiety around food. This is a huge surprise to Tina when she finds out and when they get home, she reiterates that she doesn’t believe that food could be the problem. Angry with his Mum for not listening, Max storms off in a huff.
TUESDAY
Getting confused about where she should be and what her schedule is, Ruhma is struggling to cope. She turns to Nina for assistance, who wants to help, but isn’t sure what she can do. She tries to reach out to the Head of Midwifery but will she be able to get support? Suni is still getting the cold shoulder from Scarlett, but Nina asks Scarlett to help Suni learn the computer system. She does, as he keeps trying to understand why she’s giving him the cold shoulder.
Ladies man Tim Walker is dating Aoife Roche, but he keeps leaving after sex and she’s not happy about it – she doesn’t want to be used. He heads to the Mill as he’s not well, seeing Luca, eventually admitting he gets a fever after every orgasm. It’s going to destroy his relationship with Aoife, as she thinks that Tim’s not interested as he’s always in a hurry to leave. Seeing how much this means to him, Luca agrees to try and find what’s causing it. After getting some advice from her housemate Niamh Kennedy, Aoife confronts Tim about his constantly leaving and he makes a complete mess of telling her he likes her, instead saying that sex with her is making him ill.
WEDNESDAY
Scarlett confides in Rosie about her kiss with Suni and she doesn’t know what to do. Over a series of scenes, Rosie tells Scarlett about her past love life – how she was in love with two boys and didn’t know what to do. Jimmi is worried about Al and calls Emma to chat. He hasn’t been answering any of their calls or their visits.
Bear goes home after a half day, looking at some fashion videos online to work on his wardrobe. But he’s annoyed when Tye comes home and starts commenting on the videos. Tye apologises for annoying him, and then they chat about what happened with Claudia.
Mike Gavin wakes up in the cell, annoyed with himself that he is back there. No stranger to the system, Mike is a boozer and gambler – Rob has seen him in there many times. But he’s also a charmer, swearing this will be the last time. Rob asks Emma to check him over before he can be released, but when receiving his belongings back, he questions where the diamond and emerald necklace is.
He bought it for his wife Melanie’s, birthday and he had it last night. But when his wife Melanie Gavin arrives to pick him up, she can’t believe he’s there again and doesn’t believe his story about the necklace.
THURSDAY
Ruhma holds a class for training midwives alongside her old friend Mei-Li. Mei-Li is lots of fun, and they have a great time, but unexpected news from Mei-Li leaves Ruhma sad. An excited Ollie takes Scarlett to the cinema to see the latest in a big superhero franchise, but it’s the last place Scarlett wants to be. Suni is on her mind, she doesn’t know what to do, and Ollie’s excitement doesn’t help. They end up arguing in the middle of the film and she makes a decision on their future.
Student Hannah Adair is annoyed that her over anxious mother Debs Adair is making her go to the Doctors after she passed out. Debs wants to know it was real incident and not Hannah faking it like she has in the past. Reluctant, Hannah agrees to go. At Uni, Hannah sees popular girl, Sadie Matthews having fun with her friends and she wishes she had a group of friends like that. She walks past them and pretends to faint, which Sadie immediately reacts to, worried about Hannah.
Hannah claims she skipped breakfast, so Sadie offers her a cereal bar. They chat and Hannah listens in as Sadie tells her about a drunk lad trying it on with her – she is sick of people getting away with sexual assault. Hannah sees Jimmi at the Campus about her fainting but then rushes back to Uni to tell Sadie that he sexually assaulted her.
