The unique arts brand Exhibition on Screen – the team behind the blockbuster film Vermeer: The Greatest Exhibition, the UK’s highest ever grossing artist documentary – is bringing three brand new films to cinemas from October 2023 through to May 2024.
One of the most recognized and reproduced paintings in the world, audiences will be captivated by the powerful and passionate new film Klimt & The Kiss. Klimt’s Lady with a Fan sold earlier this year for a record-breaking £85.3m, proving Klimt will never go out of fashion. The film delves into the life and work of this fascinating artist and a titan of the Art Nouveau.
One of the leading artists of his day, John Singer Sargent’s greatest talent lay in his choice and depiction of fashion. This powerful new film, John Singer Sargent: Fashion & Swagger, will detail how he brought his many subjects to life and explores the artist’s complex relationship with his often-affluent clients and their clothes.
In 2024, London’s National Gallery celebrates its 200th anniversary. One of the world’s greatest art galleries, a fascinating new film My National Gallery, London gives voice to those who work there, visitors and celebrities, asking which artwork means the most to them and how the gallery should change to reflect our modern nation.
The trio of new releases will be joined in cinemas for a limited time only by a big screen encore of Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse.
Executive Producer & Director Phil Grabsky:
