On this Day 1981: Endurance Race

Richard Hudson-Evans reported on the final round of the World Motor Cycle Endurance Championship at Donington Park which lasted for seven and a half hours and covered 1000 kilometres.

The race was the first long-distance motorcycle event to be held at Donington Park in Leicestershire. Interviews with Ron Haslem and Mike Baldwin, who are both members of the Honda team and talked about the difficulties of endurance racing. Shots of the Suzuki team celebrating the race win and the Kawasaki team who took the overall championship title.
