Virgin Radio presenter Chris Evans announced live on his breakfast show that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. The radio and telly host, who found fame on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast in the 1990s, told listeners (21 August) that his doctor had confirmed the diagnosis recently.
However, he reassured listeners that the cancer was discovered in its early stages and he is optimistic he will have a full recovery after he undergoes treatment next month.
“We need to discuss what’s going on with this issue. It is a melanoma. There’s this phrase called a malignant melanoma – you know once you get something and you find out all about it – that is a redundant phrase because if it is a melanoma, it is malignant.”
“But it’s been caught so early, just so you know, that it should be completely treatable.”
The Mirror reported that ‘Katie Price’s surrogate has reportedly changed her mind about carrying the former glamour model’s baby after being ‘disrespected’ by her.’ The tabloid went on to note ‘It was previously reported that the TV personality, 45, enlisted the help of one of her biggest fans to carry her sixth baby as she is no longer able to conceive naturally. Katie revealed that the lady, who hasn’t been named, has been a ‘fan of hers for years and does surrogacy’.’
“As a fan of Katie’s, this was something that she wanted to do until they finally met in person, and she was treated appallingly,” a source told MailOnline. “The surrogate feels she was disrespected by Katie, who also didn’t make her children feel welcome and she certainly wasn’t appreciated, considering the sacrifice she was willing to make.”

Chef and author John Whaite spoke with Christine Lampard about what he’s learned following his recent admission about being in love with his former Strictly dance partner Johannes Radebe. John also shared who he believes will win the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
John opened, “What I have to say is how blooming great it is that the gays are getting embroiled in the Strictly scandal! Because before, we were just on the sidelines, but now, the gays are involved in the Strictly curse. So for me, this is a sign of progress.”
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine show he talked about why he decided to share how he felt about Johannes Radebe, his SCD dance partner in his new book, John said, ”The reason I’ve spoken about that story and specifically with Johannas’ consent and my partner’s consent – I haven’t written anything that people didn’t want me to write. The reason I’ve spoken about that story is to illustrate the point that, life is difficult.
“We are fragile human beings and our hearts sometimes can be torn into two, and sometimes you have to take stock and just think to yourself, ‘Who am I, what [are] my values, and how do I get back to that?’ And the point of the whole book is a story of love.
“Like if it weren’t for my partnership with Paul, where we speak candidly and honestly about how we feel, I don’t know where I would be in life.”
According to newspaper speculation disgraced ITV personality Phillip Schofield former king of ITV Daytime, and their alleged toxic world, is to attempt a TV comeback. No particular details have been given on where and how the sly silver fox who lied to his bosses, his friends and his family over an affair with a legal – but young – male staff member, will return to screens. It I suppose could be QVC he’d be very good at selling carpets and runners.
Scoffe is also apparently planning a ‘tell all’ book. If only he’d told all years ago he’d not be in this situation…
