On this Day 1973: Walsall Market

ATV Today reporter Peter Green ventured down to Walsall market to find out why it is so popular with both customers and stall holders.

Peter speaks with shoppers as well as  George Holden who sold clothes and Sid Wright who is a former Mayor of Walsall who sold crockery. It is noted that the town has had a market in the centre since at least 1220.

The market continues to operate every Friday and Saturday.
