To kick-start the summer holidays, Sky Kids has unveiled a splash of shows to inspire creativity and keep the whole family entertained.
Lucy Murphy, Director of Sky Kids for UK, and ROI:
“There are plenty of new and returning shows in our summer line up to keep kids of all ages entertained, active and engaged through the summer holidays. With comedy, animation and loads to make and do the summer will fly by with Sky Kids.”
Building on the funny, heart-warming stories from series one, The Very Small Creatures are back for a second series with even more adventures to be had. Created by Aardman Animation, the show is a spin-off from popular Sky Original series, Morph, and follows five, toddler-like clay creatures who explore a child’s playroom when no one is around.
From having fun and problem-solving together, to celebrating each other’s unique voices, each episode focuses on a theme that relates to aspects of toddlers’ lives, with comedy, positivity, and acceptance at the heart.
A brand-new second series of The Makery is also in store this summer, as the ultimate make and do show returns to screens to inspire children’s imaginations. This fantastic fast-paced series, presented by Nim Odedra with narration from Stephen Mangan, is packed with building quirky crafts, brilliant baking, and creative takeovers, helping educate children through play.
What’s more, kids and families alike will be able to enjoy the iconic series one and two of The Pingu Show, as Pingu finds himself in tricky and comical situations, but always learns a lesson. This series is full of fun sketches, following how Pingu spends his days with his parents and baby sister, Pinga.
Also adding to the Sky Kids line-up is a second series of 100% Wolf, to keep the 6+ crowd entertained in the school holidays. 100% Wolf: The Book of Hath sees a fluffy pink were-poodle Freddy and his friends navigate a world where werewolves struggle to integrate into human life. But when strange creatures start to appear and a powerful sorceress threatens their existence, a fluffy pink were-poodle proves that he is 100% Wolf.
