To coincide with the UK cinema release of Barbie, in which Gosling takes on the role of Ken, GREAT! movies has revealed that it’s showing two of his top movies on Saturday 22nd July 2023.

In director Nicolas Winding Refn’s critically acclaimed thriller, Gosling stars as a Hollywood stunt driver by day and a wheelman for criminals by night. Though a loner by nature, “Driver” can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbour Irene (Carey Mulligan), a young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband.
After a heist goes wrong, Driver finds himself driving defence for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals (Albert Brooks and Ron Perlman). Soon he realises the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash and is forced to shift gears and go on the offense.

Filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and Gosling reunite in the highly acclaimed Only God Forgives – a stylish, mesmerising and thrilling journey through Bangkok’s criminal underworld. Julian (Gosling) runs a boxing club as a front for a drugs operation. He has everything he wants and is respected in the criminal underworld though, deep inside, he feels empty. When Julian’s brother is murdered, his mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) – the head of a powerful criminal organisation – arrives in Bangkok to collect her son’s body.
Furious with grief, she dispatches Julian to find his killers and ‘raise hell’. The stage is set for a bloody journey of betrayal and vengeance towards a final confrontation and the possibility of redemption.
