Viggo Venn clear BGT favourite as voting data released

6.2 million watched Viggo Venn win spot at Royal Variety Performance

Voting percentages for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent final have been released by ITV.

Viggo Venn may have been booed by the audience after winning this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, but voting percentages show he was the clear favourite.

The Norwegian comedian wowed the audience with his final performance where he managed to get Simon Cowell to wear a Hi-Viz jacket. However, some in the audience took exception to him being crowned the winner and booing could be heard as Venn thanked everyone who had voted for him.

Viggo Venn received 22.5% of the vote, putting him ahead of dancer Lilliana Clifton who got 13.1% and magician Cillian O’Connor, who finished in third place with 11.8%. Venn was the clear favourite in the second semi-final, where he received a massive 43.7% of the votes.

Sunday’s finale on ITV peaked at 6.2 million viewers as Viggo Venn was crowned the winner. The two-and-a-half-hour finale was watched by an average of 5.3 million viewers. This was down on the 6 million average from 2022.
