BBC Three celebrates Pride month with new and iconic gay programming.
BBC Three and the BBC iPlayer are dangling their rainbow bunting this month as they celebrate Pride month.
New comedy short, This is Gay, the part mockumentary, part sketch show will make its linear debut on BBC Three. It is already available on the iPlayer. Written and created by Kirk Flash, the short explores the ‘who, what and why’ when it comes to the gay community.
Series three winner of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, Krystal Versace, will be front and centre in her new reality piece Keeping Up With Krystal Versace. The show follows Krystal as she prepares for her solo show with her drag family. Krystal and her family will share the iconic London Palladium stage for the very first time, but will the pressure to pull it all off before opening night cause a rift in the family?
Elsewhere there will be a reunion show for guys from I Kissed A Boy. The dating series made its debut last month, fronted by Dannii Minogue. The studio-based reunion will see Minogue getting the latest goss from the boys (their love lives, their newfound fame, any lingering chemistry…), celebrate the Masseria’s greatest moments and take a deep dive into the drama and lead the boys through some outrageously funny party games.
BBC Three will also be airing Olly Alexander: Growing Up Gay and Lily: A Transgender Story, two ground-breaking documentaries which are currently available to watch on the iPlayer. The youth-orientated channel will also screen the BAFTA-nominated film Pride.
