Stephanie Davis and Ryan Early head to Weatherfield

Former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis and The Archers‘ regular Ryan Early are set to appear in Coronation Street as part of a ‘steamy affair’ plot.

Stephanie, best known for playing Sinead O’Connor in the Channel 4 soap, has been cast as Courtney Vance the glamorous wife of Darren, one of Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) business associates. Darren is played by Ryan, who stars as Helen Archer’s love interest Lee Bryce in the Radio 4 drama.

Stephanie Davis:

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Coronation Street, playing the part of Courtney Vance. Growing up I have always watched and loved the show, so to be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.”

Whilst Dev and Darren Vance spend time talking business, Courtney sets her sights on a toy boy lover in the shape of Dev’s son Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain).

Soon, Aadi is caught up in a web of deceit as Courtney orchestrates reasons for them to meet up behind Dev and Darren’s backs.

Early said:

“I am so thrilled to be playing Darren Vance on Coronation Street. I grew up watching the show with my grandmother so to walk on the cobbles is such an honour.”

The show’s producer Iain MacLeod has teased that ‘Aadi will quickly find himself out of his depth as he risks everything for Courtney.’

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8pm on ITV and STV
