Sky Kids will premiere My Friend Misty, an original series executive produced by Fearne Cotton, next month.
Colourful and magical Misty, narrated by Daisy Haggard, offers children brilliant tips to stay calm and strategies to help them navigate everyday life.
The series mixes animation and live action.
Lucy Murphy, Director of Kids Content at Sky UK said:
“This is such a special series for Sky Kids. Just because you’re little it doesn’t mean you don’t have dramas in your life. With recognisable, everyday situations, a brilliant cast of children and the help of the charming Misty, kids will laugh, learn and develop their own emotional resilience. We’re thrilled to be adding this explorative show to our slate and hope younger viewers and families love it just as much as we do”.
Whether it’s anxiety about visiting the dentist, arguing with a best friend, or getting a haircut, the series illustrates that children have worries too. It’s a good thing Misty is on hand to help. In each episode, she pops up with surprise visits to help and inspire kids, sprinkled with a little mischief.
Fearne Cotton, Executive Producer said:
“From friendship and magic to solving those everyday worries, this is a beautiful show to help children deal with their emotions. I can’t wait for you to meet My Friend Misty in this first Happy Place co-production”.
My Friend Misty (10 x 10”) is produced by Hillside productions, part of CTVC. The series will launch on 1 May.
