On Friday morning Stormy Daniels gave an exclusive interview to Good Morning Britain.
Speaking to GMB’s Noel Phillips she was asked about her views on Melania Trump – who was noticeably absent from Trump’s New York court appearance this week. Asked if she has a message for Melania? “Call me if you need me to testify in your divorce proceedings.”
“She is a mother,” said Stormy. “I would assume that just like me as a mother, her main priority is her child. The other side of that we have to remember is that we don’t know what is in their private life. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. We don’t know what kind of arrangement they have. I know some freaky people. We don’t know. And we can sit here and talk about it all day long, but until she feels the need to speak about it herself we just won’t know.”
Stormy also revealed she is “absolutely” willing to take the stand if Donald Trump faces a criminal trial next year. “As a matter of fact if they don’t call me and they don’t allow me, it’s more detrimental to me. Because if they don’t call the person at the centre of whatever the legal issue is, it makes me look like I wasn’t credible or they were purposefully trying to keep me off the stand. It implies that I can’t be trusted or there is something they are not willing to risk.”
Asked how she felt about seeing the former president face to face, she replied. “Well, at least this time he will have clothes on.”
Stormy also explained why she accepted a $130,000 payment from Trump’s then-lawyer Michael Cohen in 2016. “As I have told numerous times and nobody pays attention, at first I didn’t think he was going to run for President. Like I thought it was a joke. I laughed it off. I mean he flat-out told me himself he didn’t want to run for President. It was a PR thing, this is what he does… Then, he got the nomination and some friends who are very knowledgeable in politics said: ‘You know you might have a problem because whether you love him or hate him, the Republican Party have to back him. And you could be detrimental so they could potentially do something very terrible to you.’
“So when they approached with that offer, it was perfect because there is a paper trail and proof so they can’t touch me. And also a guarantee. Well, at the time what I thought was a guarantee, I was sorely mistaken, that it would never come out and my life wouldn’t be disrupted. Because I had this amazing life, family and career and live a very quiet life in Texas in a dream house and none of my neighbours knew who I was or what I did. It was a win-win.”
She also spoke about what happened on that fateful night she met Trump. “We just met and talked for several hours about business: his business, my business, and questions about working in the adult film industry. The projects he had going on. And obviously, we talked about Celebrity Apprentice and his various other entertainment projects. After a while, as we famously know, I went to use the ladies’ room.”
When Stormy returned from the restroom, she said that Trump had taken off his clothes, and she hadn’t expected that to happen. “Truly shocking, if you know what I mean, it wasn’t discussed or hinted at. It was just like, ‘Oh my god, where are your clothes?’. And then I just felt really ashamed and stupid because I didn’t think that’s what it was about and I had spent so much time getting comfortable and chatting. I was just caught off guard and I wasn’t expecting that.”
Asked if she felt as though she had to engage in some sort of sexual activity, she said, “I say all the time, it wasn’t a Me Too thing. He didn’t threaten me physically or put his hands on me. I just sort of froze and didn’t know what to do. Of course, I tried to sidestep and he was there and his bodyguard was outside the door.”
She says the situation still plays on her mind, and that she would react differently if it happened today. “Out of all of this, when I am alone at night, what bothers me the most is that I feel guilty. If it happened today I would have been like, ‘Hard no, take one more step and I am going to break your nose’. But I just had a weak moment because I was caught off guard and was so ashamed.”
Stormy also revealed that she is receiving death threats daily. “They are basically like: ‘Leave Trump alone or you are going to answer to God or my friends are going to make sure that happens’. And they are not hiding, they feel totally justified in doing that. Like they are being patriots. It used to be different. It was like one in a hundred was a death threat instead of just like ‘slut’. Now it’s like one in ten.”
She is also a gun owner and is armed most of the time. “Absolutely, you have to figure that if someone is going to go through the trouble of finding you and breaking in they’re not going to do it unarmed. So, it’s better to be prepared. For two years I had two armed bodyguards stand over me 24/7. I didn’t pee without a gun present for two years. That’s pretty insane.”
