Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 8th March

During Callum’s first day in his new position, he is given an inappropriate nickname by other members of the team. Jack resolves to deal with the issue.

Callum gets to work trailing through CCTV footage of Ravi.

Meanwhile, Zack watches on as Whitney struggles with her emotions and later invites her to Peggy’s where he offers her some money. This falls flat with Whitney.

Elsewhere, Ash is encouraged to have an honest conversation with her mum as she prepares to leave.

Also, Jean secures a cleaning job for her and Stacey; Vi makes a decision.

Fearful that Justin may have found out the date of her wedding, Daisy calls the venue and reschedules.

The owner of the boutique calls at the pub and tells Daisy that they’ve had a call from Justin accusing her of assault and they’re no longer prepared to lend her a dress as the publicity could damage their reputation. Daisy is gutted. When Daniel makes light of it, Daisy is furious and storms off.

Back at No.1, Daisy hears the doorbell. She checks her app and is horrified to see it’s Justin. Daisy orders him to clear off, but when she returns to the living room, she’s shocked to find Justin standing there having got in the back door.

Meanwhile, a contrite Beth hands Fiz a letter for Hope. Fiz reads it and promises to pass it on. On Maria’s advice, Beth sets out to remind Kirk that she’s a good person underneath.

Elsewhere, having had an awful night’s sleep and missed her lecture, Steve worries about Amy. Unable to come up with an excuse, Amy agrees to meet Summer for a drink. But when she realises Aaron is there too and has invited a mate, she makes excuses and leaves.

Also, aware that she’s been avoiding him lately, Faye agrees to a night out with her dad. But when her phone buzzes with a message from Jackson, she quickly covers.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Rishi’s intruder is revealed.

Meanwhile, Marshall is tearful and panicked as his dad strides over. Colin surprises Laurel and Marshall by wrapping his son in his arms and hugging him tightly.

When Colin says all the right things about allowing Marshall to remain at Hotten Academy and maintain his friendship with Arthur, Laurel is relieved to have seemingly made a breakthrough.

Elsewhere, Paddy is irritated that Marlon can’t give him the space he has asked for, despite Marlon’s attempts with a bag of zombie goodies.
