Send Nudes: Body SOS

Individuals with very personal body hang-ups and who are considering cosmetic surgery are about to see much more of themselves than ever before via full size, 360 avatars of their naked bodies, as we help them decide if surgery is really the answer.

From boobs, balls and bums to penises, pecs and tums, this is the ultimate ‘try before you buy’ for people who are seriously considering cosmetic surgery, allowing them to see what they could look like before making a life changing decision. And to help them decide, host Vogue Williams and 50 complete strangers are on hand with honest feedback.

In this first episode, we meet chiselled chippie Steven, who wants a porn star-sized penis, and single-mum Steph, who’s desperate for smaller boobs. But as they both confront their life-size naked avatars, will they decide to push ahead with their plans for surgery or will their minds be changed by what they see in front of them and what they hear from our feedback panel?

A Special School

The cameras return to Penarth’s Ysgol Y Deri – Britain’s biggest special education school – for this new series of A Special School. In this episode, love is in the air as Valentine’s Day arrives. Whilst some pupils may get anxious about it, the day helps build confidence in many. Leo has written his very own love song for fellow pupil Niamh, and with the help of his teachers and pal Kai, he plans to win her affection.

Since the pandemic, the nurses’ station has been closed to non-essential visits. As it finally re-opens, one pupil is in for an extra special day. Thirteen-year-old Esme, who has been diagnosed with Leigh’s disease, is joining the nurses team for work experience. Kitted out in a nurse’s uniform, she loves spending time with the team and helping out with the various tasks. .

One of the highlights of the year is the Ysgol Y Deri summer show. Rehearsals are well under way for this year’s production of Aladdin, with deputy head Kerrie in the director’s chair. Ella, who is playing Jasmine, is excited for the show but also admits to being nervous about the performance and works hard to control her stage fright.

There’s also shock and disappointment at the school as thousands of pounds worth of watersport equipment is stolen. The lessons learnt out on the water help the pupils build relationships and trust, which makes the theft all the more upsetting. However, the reaction from the general public sees donations coming in from across the world to replace all of the equipment.

Maternal

The drama tells the stories of Maryam, a Paediatric Registrar, Catherine, a General and Trauma Surgeon, and Helen, a Registrar in Acute Medicine, as they each attempt to balance their increasingly demanding jobs in post-pandemic frontline medicine with their lives as new mothers.

In this last episode of the series With Catherine and Maryam’s support, Helen tries her best to deal with the aftermath of Guy’s decision. True to form, she finds herself having to mother those around her and put her own needs second. But after a conversation with Tessa, Helen makes an important decision about what lies ahead for her as a doctor.

Arriving for the investigation meeting, Maryam is still annoyed with Catherine for putting herself on the panel. Will straight-talking Catherine make things worse for her friend, or could she be the person who allows Maryam to finally speak the truth? While in the hospital, Maryam is also drawn back to regular patient Jakub, whose condition has deteriorated. Managing Jakub’s case through the night is the only way Maryam knows how to be a doctor, and as a new day comes, she is left with some tough choices about her future.

Though she’s smarting at the fact her old rival is now her boss, Catherine manages to put her own feelings to one side as she steps up to help Helen. And in the spirit of managing feelings, Catherine books herself in with a specialist who treats women who suffer from birth trauma… and gets a massage that’s more than she bargained for. The emotions it sets off in Catherine are ones she didn’t expect but also can’t ignore. And she too ends up making some big decisions about her future. But being Catherine, not all the decisions are as wise as she’d like them to be…

Sex Actually with Alice Levine

Alice Levine continues to explore the sex lives of others, discovering out-of-the-ordinary love stories from across the world. In this Louis Theroux-produced series, Alice approaches contemporary taboos with her trademark curiosity, humour and warmth, as she asks what we can learn from people who are pushing the boundaries of intimacy and finding new and exciting ways of experiencing the erotic.

As well as peeking behind the curtains of homes across Britain, Alice also travels to the kinkiest parts of Europe and the USA – as she delves into previously unseen territory to unpack some of our deepest and darkest desires.

In this first episode of the new series, Alice dives into new, advanced technologies that could be what sex and relationships will look like in the future. In Berlin, Alice meets a couple who opened the world’s first cyber-brothel, populated by talking sex dolls. She heads to Las Vegas to witness the next generation of sex-robots. Alice also meets a couple whose relationship exists in a virtual ‘furry’ universe, but who are about to risk it all, taking their love affair offline and moving across the world to be together.
