The London Classic Car Show welcomes Sally Phillips, Tony Pitts, Ronni Ancona and Katherine Kelly

The London Classic Car Show has announced an addition to the event that will certainly amp up motoring enthusiasts on the weekend of 24th-26th February at Kensington, Olympia.

Attending this year’s event will be the cast and directors of an upcoming film exploring the world of classic motors, providing visitors with a sneak peak of what to expect on the silver screen.

Tony Pitts Co-Director:

“we are very excited to bring this story to the screen and to be working with some absolutely top-drawer talent on both sides of the camera and equally excited to be working with Film Soho’s state-of-the art virtual production technology.”

Starring some of Britain’s brightest acting stars – Sally Phillips, Tony Pitts, Ronni Ancona and Katherine Kelly – CLASSIC has been described as a darkly comic tale set in the backdrop of a classic car show on the hard washed North Yorkshire coast. As well as starring in it, the film also marks a new chapter for Sally Phillips and Tony Pitts’ acclaimed careers as their directorial debuts.

CLASSIC is a co-production between Film Soho’s two in-house production companies, Captain Dolly & Soho Talent and Make Me Films. First-time producers Katherine Kelly and Ronni Ancona team up with veteran Nick Hamson to produce the film and Soho Talent’s Chris Greenhill to executive produce.

Through authentic discussions with London Classic Car Show’s presenters on the Fighting Torque main stage at 2pm on Friday 24th, the cast will bear their passion for classic cars, reveal the motors that will feature in the film and share insights into the creative process. Also appearing at the show is one of the star cars of the film, a 1974 MG Midget 1300 with a few tasteful modifications, displayed throughout the weekend. An exclusive opportunity for all car connoisseurs!

Nick Hamson, Producer and Co-Founder of Film Soho:

“CLASSIC is a great example of how our talent model works; placing actors in key filmmaking roles. With Tony and Sally at the helm of this project, CLASSIC is set to be hilarious as well as visually stunning, and a great example of the breadth of projects we can bring to life using our brand-new virtual production facility, V-Studios.”

The capital’s premier automotive event will also be hosting a variety of exhibitions for guests to experience – including reuniting the remaining Beatles Minis for the first time in over half a century, a tribute to 60 years of the Porsche 911, an exhilarating live auction hosted by Historics Auctioneers, as well as further discussions on all things motor. This is truly a unique chance to discover more about the classic car culture and history in all its glory.

The London Classic Car Show will be open on Friday 24th February: 12pm – 7pm, Saturday 25th February: 10am – 7pm and Sunday 26th February: 10am – 5pm. Full details of all ticket buying options – as well as the latest show news – can be found on the official www.theclassiccarshowuk.com website.
