Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 18th January

While Whitney prepares for her baby scan, Martin talks to Zack, assuming that he is just anxious about becoming a father.

Later, Zack watches as Whitney heads off to the scan with Chelsea, Felix, Finlay and Sonia. At the hospital, Whitney is overwhelmed with love to see her baby for the first time.

Meanwhile, Ravi swoops in to help Chelsea with a heavy delivery, and she invites him for a ‘thank you’ drink at The Vic. He accepts the invite after spotting Denise.

Ravi and Chelsea flirt up a storm and when he walks her home, they arrange date two. Denise isn’t happy and confronts Ravi about using her daughter. Ravi retorts that he’ll date whoever he likes.

Elsewhere, Denise is horrified to discover The Vic full of customers and Alfie behind the bar. He insists he’s doing this for Linda, but Denise isn’t happy.

Also, Ben’s upset Jay hasn’t asked him to be best man, but Jay thinks Ben already knows he’s got the job.

EastEnders, BBC One, tonight at 7.30pm

Billy, Paul and Aaron are furious when the police tell them that Mike and Esther have accused Summer of lying about being pregnant in order to extort money from them in exchange for the baby.

As Mike approaches his front door, he finds himself confronted with Paul and Todd. Paul sees red and shoves him hard. Mike falls, hitting his head on a plant pot. Todd and Paul stare at his motionless body, horrified. Has Paul killed Mike?

Meanwhile, Stephen confides in Gail that he’s worried Elaine might be reading too much into their friendship. Teddy overhears and parks himself at Stephen and Elaine’s table. Elaine is miffed at the intrusion, but Stephen is secretly grateful.

With Elaine gone, Teddy explains to Stephen that he overheard him and thought he’d come to his rescue. Stephen is grateful, but he panics when Teddy suddenly remembers something about the accident.

Elsewhere, when Ryan reveals that according to his mate in Ibiza, Damon is a known drug dealer and once put a rival club owner in hospital, Nick is worried sick. Nick confronts Damon and asserts that he won’t allow drugs in the Bistro. Damon spells out that he has no choice unless he wants Leanne to find out where the money came from.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

As they argue about their priorities, Gabby calls Dawn a ‘prostitute’ in front of Lucas, Clemmie and Will.

Dawn is horrified by Lucas’ question and rushes out on the verge of tears.

Meanwhile, Nicola encourages Bernice to buy the B&B.
