The Slaters’ NYE party is in full swing.
Stacey sees Harvey showing Freddie a ring-sized box. Jean panics to think Harvey might be about to propose and Stacey’s worried her mum will say ‘yes’. But are they right about Harvey’s intentions?
Eve is shaken when Nish and Suki arrive but she encourages them to stay and sets about befriending Nish. As the clock counts down to midnight, Nish is trying to find Suki but then Eve collapses.
Lily rushes off to be sick, and Jean faints in Harvey’s arms. As Stacey tends to her mum, she’s alarmed to hear that Lily has collapsed in the hallway.
The paramedics arrive and tell everyone to evacuate the house immediately. It’s soon established that a carbon monoxide leak is responsible.
Meanwhile, Phil is thrilled to see the New Year in at Peggy’s with his family but his good mood is short lived. Keanu arrives to beg him to reconsider banishing him, but Phil says that if he doesn’t go now, Karen will have to bury another child.
Sharon tells Keanu that if he walks out of Albie’s life now, there’ll be no way back. Later, Keanu meets up with Keeble and admits that he has been lying to her.
Elsewhere, Ricky asks Sam to come to Germany with him and things get steamy between them. But whilst Ricky pops out, Sam gets an olive branch text from Phil – what will she do?
Also, Chelsea implores Whitney to make a move on Zack, but before she gets a chance to, he reveals he’s been offered the job of a lifetime.
