Zack is excited to start his new job at Walford East while Whitney tries to pluck up the courage to tell him she’s pregnant. At No.31, Jean and Eve find a positive pregnancy test in the bin and jump to the conclusion that it belongs to Stacey.
In the market, Whit asks Zack for a word, but he’s distracted by a call from a random fling. Hurt by Zack’s actions, Whitney goes home and tells Chelsea that he’s too much of a player to be her baby’s dad.
Stacey is amused that Jean thinks she’s pregnant, but admits the test is Whitney’s and swears Jean to secrecy. Later at Walford East, Jean bumps into Zack and mistakenly thinks he knows. Fuelled by fear and childhood trauma, Zack’s world shatters.
Meanwhile, Jack’s family are relieved when he is cleared to return to work. Kim decides to bring the family together by throwing a surprise dinner. Denise and Jack are horrified to find Kim’s chaos in their home and worry Amy will struggle with having everyone here, especially Denzel.
Elsewhere, Janine paranoia grows when Karen mentions that Mick and Linda have been shopping together; Ricky and Sam go for a date at Walford East and have fun.
Also, Alfie and Freddie drum up money for the panto.

Tim is intrigued to watch Stephen and Elaine enter the café. As Elaine reassures Tim that Stephen is nothing like Geoff and is as honest as the day is long, Stephen retrieves his phone. Lying to Audrey and Gail, he makes out he had one too many, fell on his arm and crashed at a friend’s for the night.
Having googled Six Fellas, Gail confronts Stephen about the call from his boss. Can he lie his way out of this one?
Meanwhile, Sarah’s gutted after her meeting with a potential investor, explaining she messed things up. Having told them how great her proposal is, Gail and Audrey put pressure on Stephen to invest the £10,000 Sarah needs. On the spot once more, what will Stephen say?
Elsewhere, Tyrone proposes to Fiz after an awkward meeting with Hope’s school counsellor leaves him pondering their family life. The journalist who wrote the John Stape book turns up. He apologises and hands Fiz all of his research to avoid it falling into the wrong hands.
Also, at Dylan’s suggestion, Sean invites Laurence for Christmas at Number 11. Todd paints on a smile, but George clocks his discomfort.
