Jack asks Howie to allow Denzel and Amy hang out with each other again, but Howie doesn’t think that it’s a good idea. Kim insists that Howie must start building bridges with Jack.
Howie agrees to let Denzel see Amy at The Vic after Jack and Denise convince him that Amy is receiving lots of adult support. Amy and Denzel have a heart-to-heart in the café, but Nugget interrupts their conversation.
Nugget mistakenly tells Amy that Jack has been fired. At home, a distraught Amy self-harms.
Later, Jack gets a call to say Amy missed her therapy session. He and Denise rush outside and see an ambulance loading Amy in. Jack promises Amy everything will be OK as they leave.
Meanwhile, Martin visits Sonia, who has been up most of the night looking at photos of Dot. He offers to help her plan Dot’s funeral with Reverend Mills, but she says she’ll be OK. During her chat with the vicar, Sonia seeks reassurance that Dot is in heaven, and they discuss how her faith gave her comfort.
Elsewhere, Janine arranges lunch at Walford East for Mick and Ricky to get to know each other, but Mick arrives late. Janine is furious, but Mick soon wins Ricky over, and he’s convinced that Janine has nothing to fear about Linda. When they arrive back at The Vic, Shirley tells Janine that Linda called in sick, and she becomes convinced Mick was late because he was with his ex-wife.
