With his impending court appearance looming, Billy seeks solace in Sam who offers him moral support. Phil’s guilt weighs heavy on him and things get worse when Keeble threatens to go after the rest of his family unless Jimmie is dropped from defending Billy.

Taking advantage of the situation, Shirley blackmails Sam for more money and threatens to tell Phil the truth. Sam calls her bluff but it backfires as Shirley storms off to find Phil. Sam is stopped in her tracks by Jonah. Phil comes to her rescue and hits Jonah who in turn threatens the Mitchells.

As Phil reels, Shirley reveals all to Phil – Sam has been scamming him for months.

Meanwhile, a brooding Eve reveals to Stacey that she and Suki have kissed. Stacey promises not to tell anyone.

Elsewhere, Lola plans to get Ben and Callum talking by helping Vi move out of her house, and later ropes Jay into her plans. Callum returns to find Ben, Jay, and Lola helping Vi, and he and Ben soon realise it’s all been a set-up.

In a moment of closeness, they both admit there are still feelings there, but are interrupted by Ben’s SOIT officer

Also, Ravi visits Nish in prison but the conversation takes a sour turn.

EastEnders, 7.30pm, BBC One

Stu is nervous as he prepares to meet his granddaughter Eliza at Speed Daal. He is delighted when the meeting goes well. The mood changes when Lucy arrives and insists that Bridget and Eliza leave the restaurant immediately. A devastated Stu watches them go.

Dee-Dee tells Alya that there was no trace of Stu’s DNA on Charlie’s bag, but it will be expensive to get the evidence re-tested. Alya accuses a flustered Lucy of hiding vital information linked to Stu’s case.

Stu tells Yasmeen and Alya that he no longer wants to pursue his case and simply wants to leave the past in the past.

Meanwhile, Ronnie tells James there’s a youth centre near Lewisham looking for a football coach. Realising it’s close to where Danny lives, James promises to call them straight away.

Later, an excited James tells Ronnie that he got the job at the youth centre and starts tomorrow. Ed, Aggie, Michael and Dee-Dee bid an emotional farewell to James as he leaves the street.

Elsewhere, spurred on by Aadi, Dev visits Bernie and asks if they can give their relationship another go.

Coronation Street, ITV, 8pm

Liv returns home to find Terry waiting for her and he demands that she retract her statement to the police. A scuffle ensues. Liv falls, hits her head on the table and ends up unconscious.

Terry panics and looking to leave, he runs straight into a familiar face – Liv’s brother Aaron.

Meanwhile, Mack is upset when a drunken Nate makes an ill-timed joke about his affair. Ryan senses something is awry and orders them to spill the beans.

Emmerdale, ITV, 7.30pm

One village resident has haunting hallucinations of his own funeral, with the imaginary eulogies being a harsh reminder of his past mistakes.

Meanwhile, John Paul confides in his family about feeling pathetic for drinking. They cheer him up with a spot of karaoke.

Elsewhere, Sienna wants to know where she stands with Norma. She realises Warren could be in danger but doesn’t want to get involved.

However, when an urn arrives with her name on it, she vows to take down The Undertaker.

Also, Felix tells Leah to put out a cash reward for whoever can prove his son’s innocence.

Hollyoaks, Channel 4, 6.30pm
