The new productions will exclusively premiere on The Roku Channel in 2023 and will be available for audiences to stream for free.
Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Alternative Originals, The Roku Channel:
“Our latest Roku Original productions, “To Paris for Love: A Reality ‘Rom Com’, “The Marriage Pact” and “Match Me in Miami” offer up fun, fresh and innovative spins on the dating and relationship genres. As we continue to build our Roku Originals slate, it’s a privilege to partner with the incredible production teams behind these projects to deliver premium, original series to The Roku Channel.”
To Paris for Love: A Reality Rom Com is a first-of-its-kind take on the scripted “romantic comedy” genre. The programme follows three single friends, ready for the journey of a lifetime in the City of Lights. The friends travel to Paris for two weeks in search of one thing: true love. From “meet cutes” at the Luxembourg Gardens, to strolls down the tree-lined Champs-Élysées, will first dates lead to happily ever after or heartbreak?
The 90-minute, unscripted feature film is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Zoë Saldaña’s Cinestar Pictures. Sara Rae, Sue Kinkead and Reese Witherspoon of Hello Sunshine will serve as Executive Producers. Mariel Saldaña, Zoë Saldaña and Cisely Saldaña of Cinestar Pictures will serve as Executive Producers.
The Marriage Pact is a social experiment, relationship series that follows long-time, single friends who must fulfill or break a promise from the past: a pact to marry if both are still single by a certain age. Viewers will follow the participating couples, as their relationships are put to the test, to discover whether they are truly meant to say, “I do.”
Produced by Maven, a Boat Rocker company, the series features an eight-episode season of hour-long episodes. Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh, president of Maven, will serve as Executive Producer, with Peter Scalettar and Jessica Nahmias also serving as Executive Producers.
And Match Me in Miami spotlights the high-stakes world of matchmaking in the city where the party never ends, Miami. “Match Me in Miami” (wt), follows an elite, matchmaking agency who challenges themselves to get Miami’s “most eligible” coupled up in just a matter of weeks.
Produced by Lime Pictures, an All3Media company, the series will feature an eight-episode season of hour-long episodes. Ben Crompton and Sarah Tyekiff of Lime Pictures will serve as Executive Producers. Notable past series from Lime Pictures include “Celebs Go Dating,” “The Singles Project,” “Dating No Filter” and “True Love or True Lies.”
The new productions join the expanding slate of Roku Originals. The Roku Channel is the exclusive home of Roku Originals.
