ATV Today reported about the electrification of the railway line between London and Birmingham
The film starts with library pictures of a train crash at Stechford in February of ’67. The crash ended the 100% safety record on the electrified London Midland line.
The feature then speaks with passengers showing their dissatisfaction with British Rail. The feature then looks back at steam and the old stations that have been replaced with new such as New Street in Birmingham City Centre. The item also shows the modern electric trains.
