UKTV open ‘pop up’ Nags Head Bar to celebrate Only Fools & Horses 40th

Only Fools & Horses pub recreated in London to mark 40th anniversary.

The iconic Nags Head pub featured in the much-loved British sitcom Only Fools and Horses will be recreated this September to celebrate its 40th anniversary.  TV channel Gold plan to recreate Del Boy and Rodney’s local boozer to enable fans to celebrate the comedy milestone at bargain 1980s pub prices!

The pop-up pub will kick off Gold’s celebrations ahead of the channel turning back time by showing the very first episode of the smash hit show at 8.30pm on Wednesday 8th September – the exact same date and time that it aired in 1981.

Lovingly re-created as a replica of the original Nags Head (even down to the ashtrays!), fans and would-be Del Boys will be able to live out some of their favourite memorable moments from the pub, the local haunt for Del, Rodney, Grandad, Uncle Albert, Trigger, Boycie and the rest of the show’s characters.

How the pop up Nags Head is expected to look.

Patrons of the Nags Head will be able to purchase a drink for 83p for a pint or 80’s classics; Crème de la Menthe or Britvic Orange – all washed down with a selection of classic bar snacks from the era including pork scratchings, scampi fries and cheeselets.

Plans are also in place for an Only Fools and Horses quiz where patrons will be in with a chance of winning a special prize – so make sure you brush up on your knowledge by re-watching the series on Gold, so you don’t look like a plonker!

The Nags Head will be open for business in London on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th September 2021. Tickets for a table for up to 4 people for 45 minutes are free, but visitors will need to apply for their table here: gold.uktv.co.uk/nagshead
