The average Brit needs 8000+ years to save for a celebrity abode
How long would it take you to save enough money to buy some of the world’s biggest celebrities’ homes?
Money.co.uk has launched a new calculator that determines how many years it would take you to own some of the most famous celeb homes based on saving 25% of your salary per year. With the current average salary for full-time workers in the UK standing at £31,461 a year, the calculator shows how many years it would take the average UK worker to afford their favourite celebrity’s home.
Beyonce & Jay-Z – It would take the average UK employee 8,072 years to save for Beyonce & Jay-Z’s £63 million dollar home. The world’s biggest power couple are worth over a billion dollars, so it stands to reason that Beyoncé & Jay-Z live in a suitably lavish Bel Air mansion.
Kim Kardashian – The average UK worker would be able to afford self-made billionaire Kim K’s £43 million home in 5,504 years. Kylie Jenner – Kylie’s Holmby Hills home is estimated to be worth £26.3 million and would take the average Brit 3,348 years to be able to afford.
Justin Bieber – The Beverly Hills marital home of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin set the couple back $25.8 million and would take the standard Briton 2,367 years to buy. Harry Styles – Harry owns three houses on the same private street next to Hampstead Heath in London, worth a combined total of £15 million. It would take the average person in the UK 1,907 years to be able to afford his three homes.
