Best on the Box for Wednesday, June 23.

The true crime series, In The Footsteps Of Killers continues tonight on Channel 4.

In this ongoing run of episodes Emilia Fox and leading criminologist Professor David Wilson investigate famous unsolved murder cases.

The pair use the latest forensic science and criminological research to shed new light on these troubling crimes and look for new leads that the original investigations may have missed.

On a cold November night in 1967 teenage RAF servicewoman Rita Ellis was murdered in a brutal attack, and her body was found by a dog walker near to her base.

Despite a number of leads the police have never managed to catch Rita’s murderer and with a case that’s 53 years old, Emilia and David have a challenge tracking down witnesses, other potential victims and a suspect.
