UB40 ft. Ali Cambell and Astro to perform at Margate’s Dreamland this September

The celebrated reggae act will be bringing a very special outdoor show to the South East this year at Dreamland, Margate.

Founding members Ali Campbell and Astro will be joined by their 8-piece reggae band for the gig that is taking place in September.

Ali and Astro enjoyed huge success over a period of 30 years from 1978 until 2008, including number 1 album Labour of Love and multiple top 10, gold and platinum selling albums and Grammy nominations.

Ali left the original line-up of UB40 in 2008 due to issues with the management at the time with Astro following suit to join up with him again in 2013. They initially worked alongside original UB40 keyboardist Mickey Virtue until he left their set up amicably in 2018.

The Margate gig will feature songs from the forthcoming album alongside favourites from the Labour Of Love series, the worldwide-treasured classics such as One In Ten, Red Red Wine and (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 16th April at 11am at https://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/ub40-tickets
