Ian realises he has to make amends for his recent behaviour. First is Peter and Bobby, Ian desperately begs them to hear him out. Later, a chilling taunt leaves Ian fearing for his life once again.

Meanwhile, Linda tries to explain to Mick how she’s been feeling, but he doesn’t respond. So, desperate to get through to him, she ups the ante by finding bottle of whiskey to taunt him with.

Elsewhere, Shirley tells Tina she has to run. Tina tells Mick about Shirley’s suggestion.

Priya is firm about wanting Al to herself this Christmas, but Al sends one last message to his mystery woman, delighted at the game he’s successfully playing.

Meanwhile, Marlon and Aaron are relieved when Leyla agrees to help them plan Paddy and Chas’s wedding. Charity is left angry and hurt when she hears the team remark how grateful they are that she has not been invited.

Elsewhere, Cain organises a romantic night in with Moira and suggests that they start wearing their wedding rings again. Jamie manages to talk Andrea around to the idea of letting Millie spend part of Christmas Day at Home Farm, which leaves him very pleased with himself.

Also, Paul lashes out at Vinny after he urges him to stop being weak and admit his addiction.

Having spent the night in the furniture shop, a forlorn Gary leaves a message for Maria. Kelly calls at the flat and tearfully explains to Maria that she needs to see Gary as he’s the only person in contact with her dad.

Having been summoned to the flat by Maria, Gary’s taken aback to find Kelly there. She explains that she received a Christmas card from her dad and is desperate to talk to him. Gary asserts that he hasn’t had any contact with Rick for ages and can’t help.

Meanwhile, Toyah and Imran get a call from social services asking them if they can foster a baby today. As Toyah excitedly babbles on about the baby, Nick rounds the corner with Sam. Making excuses, Leanne scuttles away hiding her upset.

Elsewhere, David assures Shona that he’ll do his best to carry on supporting her when she moves out. Clearly not listening, Shona suddenly downs tools and heads out leaving David frustrated. David breaks the news to Nick and Sarah that he and Shona are splitting up.
