Pick of the Plots: Friday 18th December

In the helpline centre, Paul takes a call from a very distressed kid called Will who begs for his personal phone number. Paul eventually caves in and Todd spies their exchange. Todd quizzes Paul about the lad who keeps phoning him at the helpline centre. Later, Paul meets up with Will and explains that he can’t get personally involved as he’d lose his job. As Will heads off, Paul is left feeling bad.

Meanwhile, when Shona sees Ray drop his keys, she pockets them and persuades Simon to join her for drinks, as they mix cocktails Shona realises she has lost the keys and they are locked in and she calls David who is the Rovers with a very flirty Daisy. David tells Shona to do a proper search.

Elsewhere, Gary is alarmed by the news on the radio that the police are searching Beacon Woods for a body. Bernie calls at the police station and tells them about the watch that Gary was desperate to get hold of. Gary confronts Sarah but she denies reporting him.

Also, Debbie assures Ray that she’s back on board. Toyah shares her good news with Leanne, that she and Imran have been accepted as foster parents.

Linda is pleased to meet the ‘famous Katy’ at last when she finds her with Mick at their flat. Katy charms Linda by insisting Mick sings her praise.

Encouraged, Linda dresses up to impress Mick but Mick can’t face being intimate and pushes Linda away. Feeling rejected, Linda turns her attentions elsewhere…

Meanwhile, Kheerat watches the CCTV footage that places Ben at the pub on the night of Ian’s attack, he spots something else that stops him in his tracks.

Elsewhere, Kim insists on helping out Honey with her community Christmas meal by finding a bad Santa, just to prove to Denise that she’s busy. Stuart, Billy and Mitch are all passed on as Kim spots Isaac – he’s just the handsome bad Santa she’s looking for but will he get the gig?

Mack overhears Kim asking Jimmy about a late haulage delivery and quietly steals Jimmy’s keys.

Jimmy is panic stricken, before it dawns on him that Mack did it.

Charity is suspicious and soon wants to find out what Mack is up to.
