My Dinner With Alan: A Sopranos Session comes to CinEvents

CinEvents has announced the global streaming premiere of ‘My Dinner With Alan: A Sopranos Session’.

The event offers fans of The Sopranos unique insight into the hit show from the critics, the cast and a highly rare interview with mastermind creator, David Chase.

British fans will be the first to get to watch the film, with the exclusive event available for one night only in celebration of the TV series, on December 27 at 7pm GMT.

The film, directed by Kristian Fraga, begins by meeting Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz, authors of the best-selling and award-winning book “The Sopranos Sessions” at Holsten’s in Bloomfield, New Jersey, the location of the controversial last scene of The Sopranos, to discuss the epic, multi-award-winning series.

Their wide-ranging conversation covers television, movies, psychiatry, gangsterism, their 20-year friendship, and their experience covering the series for The Star-Ledger of Newark, the newspaper that Tony Soprano picked up at the end of his driveway.

The world streaming premiere will be accompanied by two never seen before bonus features. The first, an intimate film joining key members of the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning show’s cast, as they reminisce about the show at the Little Italy restaurant, Il Cortile, the restaurant cast members would go to for a commiseration dinner after their character had been killed off in the show.

The second bonus feature is an exclusive and extremely rare interview with the show’s creator David Chase, where he talks about his childhood memories of Newark, the personal vision behind his landmark series, his love of cinema and presenting The Sopranos on the big screen in 2021.

HBO’s classic show is still regularly cited as being one of the greatest television series of all time. According to stats provided by HBO, viewership of The Sopranos has skyrocketed 179% through the network’s on-demand HBO NOW service in the weeks since stay-at-home restrictions went into effect.

“We’ve been talking to each other about The Sopranos for the majority of our adult lives. It just took us a while to realize that other people might enjoy listening to us do it. We’re very excited to share this conversation, so smartly filmed by Kristian Fraga and the team from Sirk Productions, about Tony, Carmela, Paulie Walnuts, onion rings, and our enduring friendship, with the world on December 27th.” – Alan Sepinwall

Tickets are available for the world streaming premiere of My Dinner with Alan: A Sopranos Sessions, exclusively on DICE.
