The world’s greatest five day horseracing extravaganza returns to the BBC later this month with a chance for fashion spotters just as much as the horse racing enthusiasts to enjoy the experience.
“Thirty thrilling races will be televised over the five days, starting with the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday (19th June) when Frankel – the world’s highest-rated racehorse – will be aiming to add to his unbeaten record of 10 consecutive wins.” say www.lovetheraces.com
The ‘Style Stakes’ is top of the agenda on the third day, Ladies Day, when women in the Royal Enclosure wear their finest outfits at what is the social event of the summer.
“The fifth and final day of this world-renowned race meeting will see world class sprinters take centre stage in the main race of the day, the Diamond Jubilee Stakes. All eyes will be on ‘The Wonder from Down Under’, Black Caviar, Australia’s fastest-ever horse who’s unbeaten in 21 races.” Adds www.lovetheraces.com
The five day horseracing extravaganza is rightly billed as the greatest race meeting in the world and the highlight in the British social calendar, with many attending simply to see and be seen.
This year there will be a distinctly patriotic atmosphere with Her Majesty The Queen in attendance each day, fresh from Her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
