Pick of the Plots: Thursday 12th September
The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
Rainie and Bobby continue to exchange insults but when Rainie reveals the truth about her night with Ian, Bobby is left distraught. He speaks to Max before upturning a bucket of water on his father. Max calms Ian down and tells him to be upfront with his son. Later, Ian finds Bobby preparing to leave and talks him into staying, but the situation soon becomes too much for Bobby who takes drastic action to confront his past.
Meanwhile, Daniel’s efforts to distract Jean ahead of her operation fall flat, but sensing Daniel’s not being his usual self, Jean questions him. As Jean waits nervously, she’s relieved when Kat arrives to offer some moral support.
Elsewhere, Phil makes a gesture. Chantelle’s nerves threaten to scupper her chances to win the competition but everyone rallies around to help, with an unexpected model. Rainie uses Abi to her advantage.

Billy warns Marlon not to let Al have Jessie’s ear. However, the warning may be somewhat belated; Al and Jessie get close whilst reminiscing about the past. Al moves in for a kiss and Jessie reciprocates, but they’re interrupted when the door bursts open. It’s Mandy, but what will she do with the knowledge? Is this the beginning of the end for Marlon and Jessie’s marriage?
Meanwhile, Tracy is bitter to see Vanessa arrive with Frank’s ashes, wanting nothing to do with them. Before long, she admits to Vanessa how betrayed she feels by Frank. Can Vanessa change her mindset?
Elsewhere, Moira and Nate’s plans are thwarted; Doug is caught red-handed.

Sylver overhears Mercedes and Nana talking secretively and thinks Mercedes is back on drugs. He confronts Liam about dealing to her, which makes Liam suspicious too, what’s Mercedes up to?
Meanwhile, Mercedes is surprised to see Brooke at the hospital, also awaiting a termination. Mercedes tries to persuade Brooke to tell Nancy the truth. She goes through with her abortion but Brooke doesn’t and breaks the news to Nancy.
Elsewhere, Finn offers to move into a hostel when it’s clear he’s not welcome at Diane’s.
Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Emma is being interviewed by Rob on suspicion of murder when they start kissing. It becomes apparent that Emma is dreaming. Emma tells Zara about the dream at lunch, and Zara finds it hilarious.
Meanwhile, Becky asks Ayesha out for lunch, but Ayesha is short because Becky didn’t keep her in the loop about her and Daniel. Zara tells Jimmi she is fine with it all, but he’s not convinced. Soon, Becky becomes paranoid that everyone is talking about it all the time, while Zara is unimpressed with Valerie’s gossip-mongering.
Later, Zara tells Emma that she can’t bear the pity she’s getting, worst of all from Jimmi and Emma also hears from Daniel how hard he is finding the situation. Karen gives Becky a warning.
