Pick of the Plots: Monday July 1st

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Yasmeen is horrified to discover her jewellery and photos missing and Geoff is quick to blame Alya’s DJ mates. Geoff secretly derives pleasure from Yasmeen’s jumpiness. Later, Alya and Ryan are shocked when they see a piece of jewellery fall out of Geoff’s pocket. The pair confront Geoff but are left feeling foolish when he produces a receipt for the necklace.

Meanwhile, Nick tries to speak to Audrey to build bridges but he is reminded by Paula that approaching his gran would be a breach of his bail conditions. Leanne is thrilled when Nick gives her a bracelet for her birthday and she suggests a get together. Later, furious to discover Leanne alone in the flat, Nick storms round to David’s where a fight ensues.

Elsewhere, Sarah calls the workers together and announces that Carla is due back tomorrow; Maria sets up a profile on a dating site; and Billy’s unimpressed when Paul meddles in Sean’s love life.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

After being wound up by Ben, Keanu worries about his ability to support Louise and their baby. Keanu turns to Phil for more work but the job he is sent on goes haywire and he is forced to flee from the police. Meanwhile, with Lola still set on leaving the Square, Ben orchestrates Jay going to see her.

Stacey is left unimpressed by a letter from Kush’s solicitor about custody of Arthur. Jean calls a meeting for both sides to talk but as things get heated, she starts to feel unwell. After tending to Jean, Stacey returns to Kat and Kush and insists her mum can’t take the stress of all of this and tells Kush she’s hiring a solicitor herself.

Elsewhere, as Whitney opens her new market stall, she asks Callum about inviting his parents to the wedding but when it becomes clear it’s a sensitive subject, she turns to Stuart who urges Callum to think about it. 

Also, Tiffany reaches out to Bobby and decides to make amends with Keegan; Max begs Jack not to go to the police about Rainie thinking that it will push her further away.

Second episode

Kat does her best to support Kush, but after an incident with Jean, they find themselves at loggerheads with Stacey once more. With Stacey refusing to compromise, Kush starts to panic about what he has gotten himself into. Later, determined to help Kush, Kat goes to retrieve some money from her stash but is horrified to find it gone.

Meanwhile, Stuart and Callum meet up with their dad who immediately charms Whitney, but the reunion lunch goes downhill when Jonno questions Callum’s career choices. Jonno also rubs Ben and Phil up the wrong way at the Vic.

Elsewhere, as they help a flustered Tina at The Prince Albert, Mick opens up to Gray about Ollie possibly being autistic. When Tina fears a journalist reviewing the venue isn’t impressed, she turns to Gray for help to charm the journalist and Mick soon joins in.

Also, Jack opens up to Denise about his money issue and later comes to a big decision.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm and 9pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

A lady follows Victoria into the Woolpack toilets and Victoria’s panicked to discover she is Wendy, Lee’s mum. She clearly means business as she has come to talk to Victoria about the ‘lies’ she’s been spreading about her son. Victoria is shaken as she tries to challenge Wendy, but Wendy is convinced Lee is innocent. Charity arrives and is instantly protective, leaving Wendy wrong-footed.

Meanwhile, Pollard’s angry to see what he wrongly assumes is an intimate exchange between Bear and Faith.

Elsewhere, Dawn overhears Harriett telling Laurel how much she means to her.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

James is fretting over Harry’s case, struggling to think of a way to get him off. Harry tells James that he has a lead on Sadie and he will sort out his alibi. However, when he later spots Harry alone, James assumes that he has lied to him. Later, a mistrustful James tries to unlock Harry’s phone.

Meanwhile, Nancy tries to cheer Sinead up with a girl’s only book club, but Sinead isn’t too fond on the idea.

Elsewhere, Liam ruins Lisa’s plan to take over The Loft by involving her family. Mercedes nervously prepares for Max’s visit. Scott has a date with Levi can’t bring himself to tell him that he’s a drag performer knowing how much Levi doesn’t like them.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
