Pick of the Plots: Wednesday June 26th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

News reaches the street that Rick’s car has been found and police are checking CCTV. Sarah grows frustrated with Adam when he won’t let the bruise, she recently got on her arm go.

Meanwhile, Yasmeen is apologetic with Geoff over her hangover but he makes her feel even worse about it, and pours water on Ryan’s mixing desk at Speed Daal, leaving Yasmeen to think she did. As Yasmeen leaves with the takings, she is dragged screaming into an alleyway. Tracy rushes to Yasmeen’s aid and helps her back to No.6.

Later, wanting to play the protector, Geoff is frustrated when Yasmeen decides to return to work. And Yasmeen later says that she wishes she had listened to him when she’s followed home.

Elsewhere, Robert assures Michelle that a secret wedding is the ultimate show of romance. Michelle later scolds Ryan when she catches him grilling Robert about a furtive phone call which she assumes was wedding-related. Also, Steve gets an idea from a birthday card; Gemma apologises to Chesney for trying to sell their story.

At the factory, Rishi interrupts Jai & Laurel, about to kiss, and they’re relieved to have avoided a close call.

Later, Rishi inadvertently puts the brakes on Jai and Laurel’s dinner plans when he insists Jai will have to replace Billy as a driver.

Elsewhere, Will pleads for forgiveness from Dawn.

Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Sinead desperately tries to resuscitate Laurie before the ambulance arrives. She admits to the police that she pushed him because she was trying to protect Diane. Sinead is arrested. 

Liberty and Sally turn up to the police station where they see Sami giving Sinead words of encouragement as she is led away. Liberty sees the chemistry between Sami and Sinead, while Sally gives police CCTV footage she installed at the school when the accusations first came to light.

Meanwhile, Laurie is in a hospital bed, and Sienna has dressed up as a nurse, taunting him. He can’t hide his fear when she reaches for a pillow, but she tells him she’s not a killer. The police come and arrest him.

Also, Ollie, Imran and Juliet rally round Brooke after a sensory overload. Juliet is jealous of Ollie and Brooke.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
