Pick of the Plots: Monday June 24th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Having found out from Bethany about Rick’s visit, Craig says he will look into it. Craig does some digging and reveals that Rick has seemingly gone abroad.

Meanwhile, after apologising for missing the meeting, Robert tells Billy about his plans to throw a surprise wedding. Later, Robert slips off to see Vicky, assuring her that he and Michelle are over, but he cautions her against telling Michelle about the baby due to it potentially stirring up memories of the one she lost. Later, Robert returns to the bistro with a cock and bull story about being held up by an accident on the M60. Ryan is deeply suspicious.

Elsewhere Geoff invites Sally and Tim for dinner and is irked when Yasmeen insists on going wine tasting with Cathy beforehand. Later, Yasmeen doesn’t make the dinner party on time; Geoff makes light of her poor time-keeping however once Sally has gone home, he tears a strip off her before heading to the spare room. 

Also, Tim swerves Geoff’s meal to help Steve with his erection – of Amy’s wardrobe – the pair soon realise that doing it in the living room was not a good idea.  Chesney and Gemma go for their 12-week scan.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Ian returns to the Square and after being scolded by Kathy for not getting in touch about Bobby, he comes face-to-face with his son. With things extremely awkward between Ian and Bobby, Ben suggests a drink at the Vic to celebrate the family reunion however the locals are less than pleased by Bobby’s presence. As tensions reach fever pitch, Bobby gets support from an unlikely source, but it’s not enough to stop him from rushing home.

Meanwhile, as Mel prepares for Hunter’s sentencing, she turns her attention back to Jack. Mel offers to look after Amy who is sick. Alone, she secretly goes through Jack’s bank statements but when Max suddenly returns home, Mel is forced to cover and agrees to go for a drink with him. Later, Mel shares a kiss with Max as a jealous Rainie watches on.

Elsewhere, Jack asks Sonia how Tiffany is, leaving Sonia suspicious. Jay is stunned to realise how much money Ruby has. Habiba is hurt when Adam accuses her of trying to find someone else.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Max runs through his plan to rob a van with Billy and warns him not to mess things up. After Billy and Woody get the go-ahead text from Max, the police – having been tipped off by Billy – intercept the three of them before they can rob it.

Billy feels let down when DS Sanders says they can’t guarantee that Max doesn’t know what he did.

Meanwhile, Liv attempts to get through to Jacob.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

The repercussions of Sinead pleading guilty are felt throughout the village.

Laurie is now reigning supreme as temporary head at Hollyoaks High. He calls a meeting with Sienna and appoints himself as her mentor. Brody tries to find people, who’ve been abused by Laurie in the past, hoping it will help the case like it did with the case against his abuser, Buster.

Sienna and Brody meet with two women who are potential victims of Laurie with one admitting that she was raped by him. Brody tries to convince her to speak up, but she leaves. Meanwhile, Diane visits Finn in prison, hoping to get inside the mind of a rapist.

Elsewhere, Ollie asks Imran to practice dancing with him, so he can impress Brooke at the prom.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
