Duncan is critically ill in hospital, and Tim gives Sophie a rundown of events; he gave chase, Duncan was hit by a van and he left him for dead. Sophie goes to the hospital where she’s stunned to come face to face with Duncan’s wife May. Making out she’s a neighbour, Sophie tells May that Duncan has been moved to another hospital and offers to drive her there. Taking a photo, Sophie tells Tim she’s got May in the car and she’s their bargaining chip. Tim heads to the hospital on a mission, but Duncan sticks to his story. A desperate Tim tells Sophie to get May on the phone. But as Sophie takes the call, May does a runner. However, Gina catches up with her and implores her to tell the truth.
Meanwhile, the oncologist tells Sinead and Daniel that her cancer has grown, she needs radiotherapy immediately and they must deliver the baby today. Sinead’s touched when their friends and family descend on the ward for an impromptu baby shower, but Daniel finds it all too much. Later, with Daniel by her side, Sinead gives birth to a baby boy. But as the baby is whisked away to neonatal, Sinead passes out. Is Daniel about to lose everything?
Elsewhere, Nick presents Leanne with a diamond necklace, but the gift backfires on him when Elsa – who has spotted it on Leanne’s social media – tells him she is putting their divorce on hold as he clearly has more money than he lets on. Steve, Tracy and Amy arrive back from Tenerife, Tracy is all shagged out and Beth gives her a tip to cool Steve’s libido; and Dev confides in Steve how he found condoms in Aadi’s room.

Tiffany desperately tries to make things up to Evie but she is stunned when Evie gives her a worrying task – replace Rat. Under pressure, Tiffany snaps at Stacey and then has a go at Bernadette when she tries to warn her about Evie. Meanwhile, Evie is left humiliated after a run-in with Phil and Dennis at the café leading her to insist to Tiffany that she recruits Dennis.
After turning down Mitch’s offer to coach the football team together, Mick helps Mitch spend time with Keegan by suggesting they go for a kick about. After Mick gets out-skilled by one of the football mums, Megan, Mitch persuades him to help coach the team. Later, Linda and Karen who is still awaiting a bathroom repair are annoyed to see Mick and Mitch back from their unplanned day out, but Mick isn’t in the mood for Linda’s lectures.
Elsewhere, Doctor Legg tries to confide in Dot that Stuart stole the photo of his wife.

Having reported Joe missing, Debbie is asked to ID a body but she loses her nerve and Cain quickly offers to do it for her. Cain tells her it isn’t Joe but is guilty to see how upset Debbie still is. Later, when a tearful Debbie explains to Cain that she can’t move on from Joe, he finally reveals the truth to her. As Debbie rushes out, a devastated Cain realises everything’s changed for them.
In an attempt to impress Maya, Jacob sends her a topless selfie but she’s just amused at his innocence. Her lack of reply leaves Jacob feeling fed up.
Elsewhere, Sam is worried about Belle, and reckons it might be time they added to the family.

Nana is running a fever but Mercedes, hurt about Russ’ will, shirks looking after her to go on a wild night out with Liam. Nana collapses in the empty flat.
Meanwhile, Ollie asks Brooke out on a date, but doesn’t tell Imran, who wants to win her back. Imran invites her and Ollie round to his house, and nearly asks her out before Ollie stops him. Later, Ollie tells Brooke that they should just be friends.
Elsewhere, Brody keeps having nightmares; and Goldie offers to help Joel at a soup kitchen when she takes a shine to Paul – another volunteer priest.

Ayesha helps Sid lie about his black eye to Karen, claiming that he got it doing DIY. Heavy-hearted, Mrs Tembe is forced to talk to Zara about her breach of professional standards, Zara thinks it’s about her and Daniel and says they have moved back in together, but it’s actually about her sleeping with Sid.
Meanwhile, when Sid tries to refer a difficult patient decision to Daniel, Daniel explodes and shouts at him. Sid comes to a decision about his future at the Mill but how will Mrs Tembe and the partners react?
Elsewhere, Emma tries to give Alia a different perspective on Ruhma’s plans.
