Pick of the Plots: Monday April 9th

We take a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

It’s the day of the boxing match but Tyrone relinquishes his place due to family commitments. Josh refuses David’s request to replace him. With the fights underway, David forces his way into the ring and insists on taking on Gary. As weeks of tension come to the surface David loses control and the crowd watch in horror as he knocks Gary out cold. Later, David is questioned by the police about the attack whilst doctors tell Sarah that he’s in a bad way.

Meanwhile, the Connors throw a birthday brunch in the Bistro for Aidan. Carla arrives with the news that she has secured a big order for the factory and hands Aidan his gift. Johnny is concerned about Aidan’s demeanour and Aidan admits that he is overwhelmed by Carla’s generosity.

Elsewhere, Mary tries to help Jude solve his problem; Fiz despairs as Hope’s bad behaviour continues.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Phil is on the warpath following his discovery and heads to the club, baseball bat in hand, to seek revenge on Hunter. Phil causes havoc looking for Hunter and Sharon does all she can to calm him down as Mel desperately searches for her son.

As Sharon takes Hunter and Louise home, Mel resorts to using her feminine wiles to stop Phil from pulverising her son. Phil struggles to resist her charm and leans in for a kiss. Meanwhile, Sharon questions Hunter about what he did.

Elsewhere, Mick and Linda are sexually frustrated; Bernie worries about Ted; Billy begs Honey for forgiveness.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

After fearing his secret is out, Bob subtly tries to find out what Brenda knows, however Brenda keeps her cool. Later, Laurel’s stung that Bob thinks she’s imagining things and after ordering him to leave takes out a bottle of whiskey. Will she succumb to the drink?

Meanwhile, Tracy is left shaken after reading an abusive letter. Later, as Tracy quietly slips away from Frank’s birthday meal for more wine, she catches Lara spray painting an abusive message outside Farrer’s Barn. But who is Lara?

Elsewhere, Jimmy is defiant as he explains to Joe that Robert works for him; Bernice and Nicola are horrified to hear animal noises from upstairs but are then introduced to Rodney’s new lady friend, Misty.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Ste and Ryan are last minute packing for Brazil when Leela calls Ste to give him the news on Tegan’s seizure. Ste immediately rushes to get to Tegan’s side whilst Ryan brings the kids to Amy’s memorial tree to say their goodbyes but when there, Leah reveals to Glenn that they are going to Brazil and he is not happy with Ryan.

Back at the hospital, Ste pleads with Leela to allow him to see Tegan. Ste finds Tegan’s communication device with an important message on. Ste is initially in denial but then goes into a state of panic when he realises his kids are with Ryan. He instructs Tony to get them without Ryan knowing. However, Ryan is suspicious and asks for Glenn’s help but he’s too late when Ste gets to him and Glenn refuses to help.

Elsewhere, James questions Kyle about text messages he’s been sending to Nancy; Tony and Diane prepare the restaurant for the arrival of YouTube vlogger – Amelia.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Daniel continues to listen to his doubts when he gets a call about Joni. Rob lends an ear to Ruhma at the police station, but why is she there? Meanwhile, Al comes to the rescue when an elderly patient refuses to hear the truth.
