Meanwhile, Keen to impress Jessie, Marlon agrees to look after the school gerbil. But things don’t go well and Marlon’s gutted to realise he’s accidentally poisoned it.

Mrs Tembe has organised a team building day at a circus workshop for herself, Heston, Ruhma, Valerie, Ayesha, Daniel and Karen. The gang are being hosted by a man called Dave who arrives to the circus room on a unicycle! Karen & Ruhma both try their hand at the trapeze and tight rope waking, whilst Mrs Tembe shows off her juggling skills.
Valerie is still down in the dumps about Ashley and Ayesha wants to cheer her up. She encourages Valerie to give plate spinning a go, but Valerie just thinks she’ll break the plate – Dave presses her to join in too and eventually Valerie shows the group she’s actually a bit of a gymnast. Later, Valerie thanks Ayesha for being such a good friend.

Waking up on Martin’s sofa from a fitful night’s sleep David is interested as Martin talks about his plans to move to New Zealand. Given food for thought David returns home and announces he wants to leave Weatherfield for a new life in NZ near his dad.
