Pick of the Plots: Monday March 12th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Gemma and Tyrone regret their night together and agree it was a mistake, but Rita spots Gemma exiting no.9. Gemma’s efforts to persuade Rita to keep quiet are in vain when Fiz discovers a condom wrapper and confronts Tyrone.

Meanwhile, Peter is installing a new CCTV camera and on his laptop spots Billy heading towards Eileen’s back yard. Peter follows him and is shocked to find Billy stealing cash from a tea caddy. Peter goes to get Eileen but when they return Billy has done a runner with the cash and Eileen’s jewellery. The pair keep the truth from Summer who discovers Eva’s list of hostels and enlists Amy to help her try and find Billy.

Elsewhere, David is ruled out of the boxing match due to his epilepsy; Audrey is stunned when a client claims to be a clairvoyant who has been in touch with Alf; Jude lands a job as a marine biologist. 

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Ian makes an unanticipated return from New Zealand, leaving Kathy pondering his reaction to Masood’s samosa sideline at the chippy. After some reluctance, Ian comes round to the idea, but after a disagreement over management and the profits, a furious Masood quits.

Meanwhile, Mitch (Keegan’s dad) turns up in the Square and immediately tries to track down the Taylor family. Keanu starts his first day in the Arches but is thrown when Mitch arrives with his car. After Keanu fixes Mitch’s car, he sends him on his way but realises he forgot to take payment. Later, the Taylors are celebrating Keanu’s new job when Mitch arrives to pay him the money owed. Keanu punches Mitch, while Karen and Keegan are stunned to see him.

Elsewhere, Patrick reveals he has been talking to a woman from Trinidad online.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Rebecca worries about her future with Seb. Things reach a head when Rebecca absent-mindedly leaves Seb alone. Robert and Victoria urge Rebecca to get a hospital appointment. Rebecca’s devastated to hear that she may have Executive Dysfunction (brain injury).

Elsewhere, Gabby and Liv steal a vial of ketamine from Vanessa’s vets bag; Pollard offers Tracy a job at the B&B and asks Faith to move in with him.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

It’s the day of the police appeal to help find Warren after Sienna claimed he ‘returned’ to the village and tried to kidnap baby Sebastian. But Cleo has worked out she is making it all up. She exposes Sienna who is arrested for wasting police time.

Later, Sienna returns home to find an intruder in her home but will sly Sienna be able to convince others she’s telling the truth?

Elsewhere, Buster returns to Chester and invites Marnie out on a date, unaware of her tag rules, which Marnie is later arrested for breaking. Kyle starts to implement Sami’s plan to make James fall for him.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

The CQC have triggered a more formal and thorough inspection of The Mill from NHS UK, putting pressure on the partners to find a solution for the I.T problem. Daniel calls on a friend for help whose tech jargon has Mrs Tembe puzzled.

When it appears Zac is actually clueless about the issue, Zara sends him away. Later, Jimmi reckons that there is nothing else for it; they’ll have to try Al’s latest advice. Turn the system off and on again!

Elsewhere, Karen finally discovers a possible scabies culprit.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
