FA release statement following Sun front page

The Football Association has said today’s Sun front page is ‘unacceptable’ .

The Sun ran a front page headline ‘Bwing On The Euwos’, making reference to the way new England manager Roy Hodgson speaks.

The Press Complaints Commission has received a number of complaints and the FA have also confirmed they have also received comments over the front page.

“We are delighted at the media response to Roy’s appointment but are disappointed with the headline in The Sun, which we consider is in poor taste and disrespectful.” – FA Chairman David Bernstein

The FA confirmed yesterday that Roy Hodgson will become the new England manager after signing a four year deal.
