Pick of the Plots: Tuesday August 22nd

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

Angus is left reeling when a solicitor’s letter demands that he buy Cassie out of the Pop-Up Club, and he jumps into a partnership he soon regrets. In a bid to glean information on Lenny, Annie ends up on a hen night she didn’t want or plan, however, her actions pique Lydia’s interest. When Greig learns that Jules has got into university, they discover Frankie has been keeping secrets about her own future.

With Jay AWOL, Phil tries to locate him but has no luck. Later, Ben finds a tense Jay who tells him his dad is a murderer. 

Fi grows frustrated as Linda continues to undermine her decisions but just as Linda believes she’s made her point to Fi, Shirley causes a scene in The Vic. 

Elsewhere Steven is rattled at the thought of Max needing his help again; Jack, Honey, Ingrid and the kids go camping.

A startled Rhona wakes to see Pierce lying next to her but realises she is dreaming and it’s her imagination. Paddy reassures her they don’t have to talk about what happened the previous night and she insists she needs to visit Pierce in prison. But will it help and will it give her closure?

Frank continues to plan the surprise wedding without Megan’s knowledge. Later Rishi approaches Frank with some news about the timeshare, claiming he has found out the property development firm went bankrupt months ago.

Elsewhere Bernice encourages Kerry to tell Dan about the person she saw.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Shane finds out that Joel is setting him up to the police and kidnaps Cleo. He takes Joel to where Cleo is locked in an engine room and locks Joel in with her.

Mandy throws Luke out and with Tony’s help manages to convince the social worker that she can provide a safe home for Ella. However, Luke turns up drunk and ruins everything.

Elsewhere Farrah urges Scott to tell Damon the truth; Prince plans a romantic gesture for Lily, but it backfires; Nancy decides on a surprise vow renewal.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
